Tailoring can feel unfamiliar at first. Here are the questions clients most often ask before and after their first appointment.

Do I need to know whether I want bespoke or MTM before reaching out?
No. If you describe your goals, timeline, and what you are trying to resolve, we can help you decide which path makes more sense. Many clients are uncertain until we have a brief conversation.
How long does a bespoke commission take?
A fully bespoke garment typically takes eight to fourteen weeks from first consultation to delivery, depending on the cloth, complexity, and how many fittings are needed. MTM projects are generally shorter, often five to eight weeks.
Can I commission a single garment, or do I need to start with a full wardrobe?
A single piece is a perfectly reasonable beginning. Many clients start with one jacket or one trouser and build from there once they understand how the process works.
What should I bring to the first appointment?
References are welcome but not required. If you have images, garments you admire, or notes about preferences, bring them. If you arrive with nothing but an idea of what you need, that is enough to begin.
Is tailoring only for formal or occasion wear?
Not at all. The studio works across business dress, travel wardrobes, weekend clothes, and anything that benefits from a more resolved fit. Some clients commission one formal piece; others build practical wardrobes over time.
What happens at a fitting?
Fittings are quiet working sessions. You try the garment in progress, and we examine how the cloth sits across the shoulders, chest, waist, and wherever the brief demands attention. Notes are taken, adjustments are marked, and the piece returns to the workroom.
Do you work with cloth I supply, or only your own fabrics?
We work primarily from our own curated cloth selection, which covers a range of weights, textures, and occasions. If you have a specific cloth in mind from another source, we are open to discussing it on a case-by-case basis.
What if I need alterations or repairs after delivery?
The relationship does not end at delivery. If a garment needs adjusting after wear, or if your body changes over time, we can revisit and correct. Longevity is part of what bespoke is for.
How do I get started?
Submit a request through the appointments page and describe what you are looking for. We usually reply within two business days with suggested next steps.
